Job Description
We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our growing team.
As a Full Stack Engineer, you will help develop the next generation of our apps using frameworks and services such as FastAPI, Vue.js, Postgres database and Amazon Web Services. You should be familiar with JavaScript, FastAPI, python and its ecosystem.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable with a fast-moving environment and can learn quickly.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ROLE
Develop new components and features for our Vue.js frontend app.
Engineer and refactor our FastAPI codebase.
Work with the team to design, develop and deliver robust scalable modules.
Write about your work and document the steps as you build.
You will be part of a team engaged building, launching, scaling, optimizing a new platform venture. The platform will have experiments embedded to collect data (akin to a "test flight") to better analyze how to improve the platform's business model based on operating data.
BACKGROUND AND ORGANIZATION
The Research Program on Digital Innovation, Platforms, and Strategy uses quantitative analysis of large data sets and field experiments to study how to optimize the design of large-scale knowledge, innovation, and entrepreneurship platforms. RPDIES brings together methods from social and behavioral sciences, management, and applied sciences (particularly data science, computer science, and engineering).
This research model relies on building data science, digital infrastructure and platform capabilities and supporting external research partner organizations in doing so. The model is largely staffed with professionally experienced and technically trained graduate students from Northeastern University across engineering, data science, business, economics, computers science, and information systems.

REQUIREMENTS
While these requirements are a guideline, feel free to apply even if you don't meet some of these.
2+ years of experience working with any JavaScript framework, like Vue.js, React or Angular.
In-depth understanding of JavaScript, the DOM, and relevant concepts.
Ability to create state and stateless components with Vuex store and Vue.js.
Hands-on experience in design and development using CSS in making responsive applications .
Experience in developing web application backend with Python frameworks like Django, Flask or FastAPI.
Understanding of fast (high-performance), web framework for building restful APIs with Python.
Ability to code server-side modules with ORMs and containers.
Experience using Git.
Ability to write Unit and Integration tests in JavaScript and Python.
While back-end skills are prioritized, an interest in human interactions with the front-end and how it can be improved are valued
